If a full time hub was available for the Raptor would you upgrade?

It was not much of an issue until they added the Torsen.. Which increased the shock loading on the locking ring.. I have been working on the issue, kind of at stand still right now..

Yes, it is a charger upgrade... What we were talking about doing is using dana 80 center sections... Dana pro 60 was their solution, but after much discussion to would be weaker than stock. So we are discussing dana 80 with wavetrac front and electronic locking in rear..

I might have another option to eliminate 50% of IWE failures. It is strange idea, but it would eliminate the shock loading of the locking rings. Get rid of the torsen and replace it with an eaton or auburn electronic locking differential.
Yep, you saw that correct.. Here is my reasons/thoughts why this will solve at least 50% of the failures

Based on the failures reported so far (with few exceptions) most failures have been where on side had traction and the other tire was spinning. The torsen worked as designed transferred the torque to the wheel the traction. That transfer of torque causes the hub gear or axle gear to over ride and wear the teeth down till it pops. Most of the time that maximum tractive effort is not required driving on snow covered/dirt roads in 4wd. Being able to turn it off and on would eliminate most of the damage we have been seeing. Then when we are axle deep (netix) mud, you could fully lock the axles and get out. Without the torque bouncing back and forth and destroying the IWE locking hubs.

I watched a corn planter clinic and was thinking going electric clutch on the on and off thinking it would help with just doing that. instead of vacuum. plus the electric clutch is cheep.

Greg would an electric clutch handle it?
