You're thinking old skool, the battery monitors on these newer gens, start shutting things down, so the truck starts, which isn't such a bad thing, if this is your actual problem. @FordTechOne is the man when it comes to these diagnostics!Thank you Sir, this gets me pointed in the right direction. I’m sure we will start with battery replacement.
Nothing plugged into OB1-Kneobe, or OBD2. Lights are all running through the upfitters. I will check the taillights and wiring.
At the risk of further exposing my ignorance, could the battery be strong enough to start the truck, but not strong enough to run the other things that failed until I had driven it the short distance?
Thank you again Sir for the quick response.
Thank you, it’s about due for the 40k service anyway so I’m going to run it up there Friday. They can see if it threw any codes etc.Over the 3.5 years I've owned my 18, there have been a handful of times random gremlins have popped up, only to be solved by restarting the truck. I chalk it up to the Raptor mystique. I am sure others have similar stories.
I wouldn't take it to the dealer unless it's an ongoing issue. Just me though.
I’ve just used the Ford, what did you get?Buy new high quality battery, had same issues
