Thank you Sir, this gets me pointed in the right direction. I’m sure we will start with battery replacement.
Nothing plugged into OB1-Kneobe, or OBD2. Lights are all running through the upfitters. I will check the taillights and wiring.
At the risk of further exposing my ignorance, could the battery be strong enough to start the truck, but not strong enough to run the other things that failed until I had driven it the short distance?
Thank you again Sir for the quick response.
You're thinking old skool, the battery monitors on these newer gens, start shutting things down, so the truck starts, which isn't such a bad thing, if this is your actual problem. @FordTechOne is the man when it comes to these diagnostics!

Over the 3.5 years I've owned my 18, there have been a handful of times random gremlins have popped up, only to be solved by restarting the truck. I chalk it up to the Raptor mystique. I am sure others have similar stories.

I wouldn't take it to the dealer unless it's an ongoing issue. Just me though.
Thank you, it’s about due for the 40k service anyway so I’m going to run it up there Friday. They can see if it threw any codes etc.
Im replacing the battery no matter what, I’m on the Trail often and the only trail repair I’m cap of is oil, water, tires or anything that can be fixed with Duct-tape and 550 cord, so can’t afford to have it go Exorcist on me out there.
The general opinion seems to be battery, I hope that’s all it is. I have a great Dealership that I’ve been working with for over 30 years. I helped the Lead Fleet writer get a job with the PD Fleet vehicle services. Biggest mistake I’ve made lately. He had been with Ford over 20 years and knew his stuff. Whenever I would call him with anything electrical related on the family fleet, Raptor, Focus, Fiesta, Explorer, Mustang, he would tell me….Replace the battery or pull the battery cable.
I appreciate all the help, thank you all.

**UPDATE-UPDATE** **BACK ON THE TRAIL/ STARBUCKS DRIVE THROUGH**
Great News, The Battery was Fried at 27 months, 40k miles :(
Just as suspected, enough Jigawatts to fire it up but not enough to run the rest of the mfing computer….errrrrrr…truck
The battery of course is warrantied for 3/36k…:(

INSIDER TIP: Before you start bad mouthing Fords Batteries and telling me to get this battery, that battery, know this…Now that I’ve had Ford replace it with there “special” battery it’s covered for 5 yrs, fails again replacement starts the 5yr clock again. My Raptor will always be serviced at Ford so it was a no-brainer for me (note my lack of wrench turning skills anymore)
Bottom line w/o getting into a battery debate, I’m on the Trail Again!

I hope this helps out other non-wrenchers like me. If Satanic Electrical issues pop up, Replace the Battery first, I don’t care if it’s 2yrs 36,005miles..
Old Dave was right as usual, anything electrical, pull the cables to re-boot, 2nd replacement of the battery.

Here‘s an Old Dave story for you; Back when Ford covered all the Batteries 100k or something like that, @FordTechOne may know the specifics, the 32 Ford Vegas/ Phoenix region Dealerships were swapping out/warranting more batteries than 3200 dealerships East of Texas. So some bean counter thinks… Ahhhhhhaaaa, those MFers in Vegas/Phoenix are giving the batteries away to Strippers! (Note Phoenix has a lot of Strip-Clubs per capit) , we must end these Shenanigans!!
So Ford sends a 4-man team of Crack-Shenanigans Investigators! They spend something like a week in Vegas and a week in Phoenix running more tests on the batteries than my Proctologist?? Conclusion….Batteries don’t do well when it’s 220 mfing +degrees 3-4months of year on the pavement.
Ummmm I know Ford tests in Death Valley, lol I think some engineer's wanted a trip to Vegas. :banana-mario::driver::peace:

Glad to hear it.

My land cruiser had similar symptoms when nearly brand new. Dealer replaced the battery and said some of the rigs sat idle for so long coming from Japan during Covid that they'd seen a few of these cases.
