Thanks for the replies!

I wonder how much of that was the motor build.

The engine was probably the easiest part of the build... we basically disassembled the entire truck. A lot of the cost comes from custom fabrication of various parts. Not to mention, some parts were overkill.... the connecting rods alone were $2,500.

So he built it for 1k hp but it will only ever see 750?

I'm not sure what the plan is. It felt great at that level and it's only a wastegate spring and re-tune away from more. We're just not sure how much power the transmission is going to hold.

if you spent 100k on a build you would probably just say screw it an build the trani ....or boost it an break it thus having a excuse to build a better one to handle the power
