In an effort to get the vehicle checked out at Ford because of these CELs that I have been haunting me....
(Aka, I hope its not really bad)

A Ford Raptor tech whom used to work at Ford said to remove the tune, put it back to stock and then undo the battery for 24 hours. He also mentioned to touch both negative and positive terminals together for about 10 seconds after the 24 hour period to ensure all juice was dispersed elsewhere. At this point, allegedly Ford cannot tell if there was a tune placed on the truck. Any truth or thoughts?

Do.

They will be able to tell the Computer was flashed. There will be a time stamp.

They won't know exactly what was done, but they will know something was done. Part of your EULA for buying the truck states that you can't modify the Computer program period.

So......

It all depends on how bad your truck is, and if ford wants to push the issue. Legally, they can deny your warranty claim if they believe your modification of the Computer Program had anything to do with it.

Doing all the work you describe will cover your tracks for the general shop lackey. But any level 2 tecj who comes in and looks, will know you were in there.

Don't even bother going to the dealer with the mods you have done, they won't be able to help you anyway.

Find the code numbers on all your CELs and post them the Gen2 section on this forum.
And do your research on this forum plenty of CEL errors in the Gen2 section after mods, most have a solution.

Ok I understand.
Some dealers are cool and will work with you and some are just *****.
You kind of got get on the good side of the service manager be up front with him, I've had to do that twice with different dealers.
He would be able to work with the service writer in the warranty department.
Ford likes to switch personnel around and people move on their own.

If I recall correctly, you can reflash it back, just make sure you have enough drive cycles recorded after as the counter is reset to 0?

6-8 recorded drive cycles should be sufficient to bring it back.

Good copy. I drive 49 miles to work, and about the same back. And perhaps a stop or two for food in between. I will give it a day or two. This ticking and clicking and shit has gotten louder so what I dont need is this thing to fail during a long drive.

What’s the general definition for “drive cycle”? i.e. 4 hours between trips will start a new cycle?

drive cycles typically have a range of things that have to happen to complete a cycle. You could leave your house and drive on the interstate on cruise control all day it might not complete a cycle.
