I traded a 2010 F-150 for my 2019 Raptor, and my insurance went down...

gen 2 are a lot more safer than gen 1's as far as safety features and structural integrity. that might be why.

Disclaimer- for the last 16 years I’ve been a Dodge/Ram guy. My unbelievably unique user name came from my first new pickup, a 2004 Ram 2500 (please see the sarcasm in this). From there I went to a 2012 Ram Power Wagon. For a while I had a 2016 Challenger Hellcat that I enjoyed, but I’m just not a car guy.

I’m still new to the Ford Game, but currently there isn’t a truck on the market in the 1500 section that does what the Raptor does. I’m still blown away at the creature comforts, how nice the truck rides, and it’s pretty damn zippy.

The Ram Rebel TRX mated with a Hellcat Motor has the potential to bend the earth. Key word, “potential.”
-It has to be priced right. If they can price it near the Raptor they won’t be able to keep them on the lot. Price them at the $100,000 mark they will sit like the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk did.
-They have to be able to reliably get the power to the ground. 700hp is a bitch to launch, and if the AWD isn’t robust enough you’re going to have a lot of broken trucks all over the interweb.
-It’s going to have to do everything the Raptor can, but on a whole different level.

I have extremely high hopes for the TRX. I think it can be an amazing vehicle. I’ve always loved the Hellcat Platform. The real question is can Ram pull this truck off after making people wait for years after the concept vehicle at the Texas State Fair?

I am currently raptorless (had a 14) and will be in the market for a new truck in the next 2 maybe 3 years.

It’ll be between the gen 3 and the TRX. I don’t have any loyalty toward one brand...whomever is doing it right at the time I’m looking to buy gets my money.

I’m looking forward to see what the TRX and the gen 3 bring to the table when they roll out.

All for competition, only do good things for both brands. I have no loyalty to either brand, but I can't stand the look of Ram trucks, it would certainly never tempt me if the front looks like current ram trucks. The inside will be great probably, but would never tempt me out of a raptor with some design improvements. I think ford, Chevy, and gmc trucks look better.

I can't remember where I read the sc v8 going in the trx is supposedly a detuned version of the hellcat. It makes sense to me, recipe for disaster with 700bhp, high center of gravity lol

There's always going to be something bigger and faster etc. FCA has been really good at throwing high HP into old and really outdated chassis, give them credit for it, it worked. I don't hate the Chally or the Charger (only the HC versions do anything for me though).

TRX, I don't know much about it, but I agree with some others that it is fcking ugly as fck! Maybe in person it might look ok.

Price - I'm guessing a HC powered RAM truck comes in at least 10K higher than the Raptor, probably closer to 15K. So, you want a fully loaded TRX Rebel, $83 to 88, my grasping from thin air guess.

TRX is still just Vaporware. Been nearly five years since the concept first appeared. Are they ever gonna make it or just keep leaking pics of it TFL?

If it actually ever sees production it'll be $80K after options with another $20K ADM. I imagine it will still sell well.
