TRX throwing shade at the Raptor

TRX is still just Vaporware. Been nearly five years since the concept first appeared. Are they ever gonna make it or just keep leaking pics of it TFL?

If it actually ever sees production it'll be $80K after options with another $20K ADM. I imagine it will still sell well.

Hmmm, I thought it was all said and done, but admit I haven't followed it. Agree with the pricing, and the ADM and yes, probably sell well, because people pay attention to HP numbers over many other valid performance aspects, FCA has proven that.

I'd be interested if it has a better front end. Also base on what I have seen of all the posting about the TRX, it's a bit too busy for me .. Looks like it's trying too hard. The fender flares, the airdam, the chase rack, front fender pockets etc.. Just too much.

I can see RAM putting out two versions of the TRX - one that’ll be priced similarly to the Raptor with the 6.4L V8 that makes 475 HP in the Durango SRT (which starts at $64k) and then the Hellcat-powered version. If you look at pricing for the Trackhawk, the 2020s start at $89k, so I think you’re looking at a similar price point for the big boy TRX.

Either way, it’ll be butt-ugly and looks like a super-sized toy. The concepts just don’t appear to have the same intimidating presence that the Raptor has.

I'd never consider it but I do hope it pushes Ford to offer a more powerful engine option and put more Raptor-specific touches in the interior.

Ford could essentially do anything they wanted with the gen 2 since there was really no competition for it. With this new rebel trx (terrible name btw) I can’t imagine any scenario where Ford doesnt put a monster V8 in the gen 3.

I bet the gen 3 gets a charge V8 option for a big price hike and the normal engine remains the TTV6 with a little more power.

Interesting they chose to sling mud by comparing themselves to the Raptor, rather than just producing a badass truck and letting it speak for itself.

TRX sounds like a low resistance workout. Come up with a new acronym

i meannnn at the end of the day nothing looks better than a gen 1 raptor. they’ve taken the simplicity away from trucks now a days
