Be thankful all you got was some torque steer with your dealer loaner. I just got my truck back from having the front camera install finished up and they gave me an AWD Flex. I was putting it through the paces on a twisty country road. They had an thick rubber aftermarket floor mat in it. I was exiting a corner and pinned it. When I took my foot off the gas, the pedal stayed mashed to the floor because the floor mat had worked its way forward. The next 5 or 10 seconds were a little exciting.

Rented a FWD edge in FL a few months ago, loved the edge, hated FWD.

Drove my moms new AWD explorer, totally different under acceleration.

Being way up north its AWD or 4X4.

I drove a friend's Caliber SRT4 and the torque steer was a joke, felt like I was yanking the wheel left and right violently.

Looks like we'll be driving the Edge a while longer. Service writer calls yesterday afternoon and says they sent a pass. side heating element instead of a driver's side. Will be Monday now.

I'm still interested to find out why they thought the rear springs needed replacing.

Hmm, didn't notice any sagging. In one of my posts above I had mentioned something about a noise starting and stopping. Figured they would just lube it but maybe the manual says they're non-servicable so they just ordered new ones?
