Trading 2017 for a 2020 Raptor

I'm think of trading in my 2017 Raptor with 802A package (24,000 miles) for the new 2020 Raptor with same package. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are as far as taking advantage of the 0% financing being offered now due to the pandemic, knowing car dealers are not doing that much business in these times, restarting the warranty (which expires this year) and having peace of mind from all the hiccups I've been hearing about the 2017's (cam phasers, plastic oil pan, etc.).

With the refreshed 3rd generation Raptor only 16 months away I would be patient and place a custom order when allocations become available. The coil spring rear end and new dash will be worth the wait.

I have a 2017 and I can’t even imagine wanting to trade up. Mine has been flawless and the 2020’s are still almost identical.

Now when the Gen3 comes out in 2022 or 2023, that may be a different story.

It will largely depend on state reopening and how big of a surge in new china virus cases there is. If there is a throttling or another round of business closings, gen3 could get shelved.

If there are good deals to be had on new trucks, Just think of how ****** your trade in value is going to be. A warranty isn't worth the loss of trading in and paying for a new truck that is essentially the same.

Trade value for 2017 low miles is gonna be around 48k new 2020 loaded best I’ve found is 68k(msrp 75k)so about 20k+ when all said and done. I have a 2017 and was trying this myself for a little bit. I would have done it for my truck and 14k but couldn’t swallow the 20k. I calmed down realized my truck is awesome and will wait for the next big change.
