"literally dozens of issues"- An entire model year of vehicle with tens of thousands sold and 12 unique problems. Alert the presses. May be time for a recall.

Sadly, in many cases, it has been dozens of issues PER vehicle. Some very serious, including blown engines and transmissions. Alerting the press hopefully won't be necessary. I trust Ford will repurchase many of these lemons.

Do you not read this forum? You haven't seen the reports of blown engines and failed transmissions? Or the guy who found a several page long punch list of items that had to be repaired after the truck was built?

1st model years are bad news. This has been going on for more decades than most of us have been alive.

Yeah my 2013 was close to invoice, my 2017 is at MSRP. That was one of the main points the dealer told me before I placed an order as I asked if I can repeat my 2013 deal. He told me no they are only doing MSRP. Everyone else he had heard on the Coast was marking up. Considering how quickly they got orders for their 7 allocations I could see them possibly trying to take advantage BUT as you said they are not a big dealer with a lot of pull so I could see that backfiring or them changing their tune pretty quick.

Saw Gus Johnson has a 17 Avalanche SCREW on their lot now, heavily optioned at near 70k. I wonder if it is selling for MSRP. I am in Spokane as well and got an MSRP deal out of Massachusetts. Sucks to pay 2k to ship the truck but I was number 11 on Wendells list, and they wanted 5k over MSRP. No thanks.

Yep, that was the truck that my guy sent me the window sticker for; said it was my truck. I told him must be a mistake--that truck is a completely different build. Anyway, that would be number 2 out of their 7 yearly allocations. That Avalanche Raptor should be sold; if it's not, someone backed out. If available, I might have been interested, had it not all those graphics.

When I got my 13 I first went to Wendle aka Swindle as I live up north and they are much closer but when test driving a platinum, even though nothing showing on the window sticker they told me the raptor and the Shelby mustang were the only 2 they mark up 5k. So went to Gus and ordered, got it about 6 weeks later below msrp. Figured Swindle would have more allocations and they have received a couple already no one has claimed so don't know if all their allocations were picked up or they just ordered as dealer orders. Gus did MSRP but their 7 allocations got snapped up really quick. Sorry you had to look soooo far away. What color did you order?

Avalanche, and pretty well optioned. I got the hood and rear graphics which I didn't want, and really wanted the beaded wheels which I couldn't find. I called all over the place and everyone wanted to mark these things up. All in all I am happy and Gervais Ford in Ayers, MA was top notch to work with.

Frustrated with Wendle as I have a 2015 GTR as well, and the dollars they get in service alone from me is staggering.

Just got off the line with my guy at Gus, to confirm that the Avalanche SCREW they had was sold. He said YES, and that it was driven off a few days ago. Also had a long discussion on what they plan on doing for the 2018 Raptor pricing. Yes indeed, Gus Johnson Ford does plan on adding a $5,000 markup on all their 2018 allocations. I offered to order one, as being a very good customer, for MSRP, AND keep my 2017 order, and he said management was not going to budge on the $5K ADM for next years' Raptors. Given their modest allocation pull with Ford, and yet their extremely high demand, I take them as genuine in their stance--they are not playing games. They (dealership) are actually unhappy with the decision to sell their 2017's at MSRP. So, between a 2017 and a 2018 at Gus, I would expect a solid $7,000 difference. Just wanted to follow up on this...as several guys on this board actually are customers here at Gus Johnson.
