Hate to stir the pot but a 700hp gen 1 will walk the dog on a mpt tunes gen 2 believe me! I got roasted in my gen 2 by a whipple gen 1 in multiple races 0/60, 40 roll , 60 roll.
Embarrassed me so bad I had to get another gen 1

That's the weight difference and the 10 speed. The Ecoboost just isn't a good performance engine. It has no low end torque and it runs out of air at the top end. It also heat soaks very badly.

It just has that weird mid range torque spike, no doubt for marketing purposes.
