GEN 1 Tow haul switch fell off

The damn switch is nowhere to be found.

Has anyone been here before. What is my best bet here?

Tasca seems to have the gear lever for sale under $100. But I am afraid taking out the console to replace might turn out to be a PITA.

Also this part did not seem to have the leather wrap.

The console is easy to remove, had to do it when replacing one of the blend door actuators in the dash. Just go slow as you apply some pressure to the edges and you’ll see how it will start to come apart, then you can unplug the sync once there is room and then fully remove the console over the shifter handle out of your way. Reinstall in reverse. I don’t have a blow by blow step wise but its simple.
