Glad you're relatively OK!

I had a similar accident in my '06 F150 SCREW FX4 in early '07. Not even close to being totaled. Think it was close to $12k in repairs. Maybe increase that by 25-50% due to 10 years and RAPTOR.

I’d say no way that’s totaled. On a $70K truck the 80% value threshold is very high, and enough for the insurance company to replace the frame from what I’ve seen. If it were a $15K Kia Soul it would be totaled.

Only thing holding a total back is the cost of salvage. Round numbers here mind you....

If the cost of repair is greater than 80% of actual cash value it may automatically total. Most states have some sort of actual cash value % threshold.

80% of ACV +- $70,000= $56,000 threshold give or take of repair vs. replace
These trucks carry a very high salvage value, also, so if repairs are higher than ACV-salvage it's totaled.

ACV (guess)=$70,000
Salvage (guess)= $20,000
80% threshold=$56,000
Rental @ $35/day for 21 days=$735 (guess)

ACV-salvage-Rental coverage ($735)=$49,265 in repairs before a total
or
80% of ACV= 56,000 means auto total.
All of these numbers are guesses but the formula is right, and, I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

The bodyshop has only looked at it outside so far. They will bring it inside today and have a tech go over. So far damages are about $24k. I should have a more updated estimate Monday or Tuesday. Probably not going to be totaled. Ill keep you all updated.

The truck is a 2018 with only 9,000 miles.

Not totaled, they'll frame swap it and send you on your way. Just be ready to wait for parts. You might have to make some calls to fords corporate office to gets parts coming faster. Went threw it with my truck. My insurance company wanted the truck sent to a Ford certified shop for the work also. After everything truck runs and feels great. Good luck with everything.

yup I agree with the above ,it will never be fixed like it came the factory . paint will never be the same . gone thru to many claims ,to know Insurance companies squeeze the shop ,which in turn leads to average at best results

Holy crap - the pain. I’d be hoping for sure it’s totaled and get a used 2014.
