With a Tacoma frame swap it takes a dealership 2 days of labor. Not saying yours needs one, but fairly easy on a body on frame vehicle. I believe the diesel F250/350 needs to have the cab removed for some engine repairs.

Update: Still waiting on some key parts so nothing really has been done.

Does anyone know why they would have removed the bed? All the damage is to the front. Is it need for the front section frame swap?

The frame is all one section from front to back, they unbolt everything from the damaged frame and bolt it to the new one.

I'm pretty sure the frame is in 3 sections. Here is the part number for the front section. HL3Z5019A.

I’d guess they removed the bed because they have to paint the windshield pillars and there’s no trim or body line between them and the rear cab corner. Pulling the bed let’s them do a good job spraying clear all the way to the cab corner as it wraps around the back of the cab between the bed.
