is the hub and iwe on the raptor the same one used on the standard f150 .. the problem seems a little to common among people who regular use 4wheel drive.

Yes, it is...

The issue did not present itself until 2012 when they introduced Torsen, which regular F150's do not have..

without fanfare ford will address the issue on the 2014 and parts will be available for earlier models. 2010 models do not have any issues with IWE without the torsen diff.

2010 5.4/6.2 (open front diff) no issues major issues reported
2011 6.2 (open front diff) no issues besides broken solenoids/vacuum lines
2012 6.2 (torsen front diff) issues are observed in all Raptors that have used 4wd (off pavement, snow, mud, sand).

so the diff delivers more torque to front wheels and the hub setup can not handle it . seems like a big deal for a truck billed as the most capable four wheel production truck. has anyone run the system hard on the 2013s and not had issues?

OEM. 3 transfer cases, 3 CV axles, 1 torsen, 4 sets of IWE, 4wd switch, and a couple solenoids. All on their dime, I'm not paying to fix their **** up. It did bang once the other day, but I'm not sure it went in really well at first. Also, its definitely related to how far the front suspension is drooped out. I was dragging a fire trailer full of water uphill with the front end pretty light

So is this why Ford recommends we keep our trucks on bottom perch??

What part finally fixed the problem??

Can a 2010 or 2011 diff be easily swapped into a 2012?
