Is top perch only good for 2010 and 2011 ford raptor? As i know those are the onky ford raptor models without torsen locked diff at the front

Ok, I'm a brand new Raptor owner, I want to go mid perch right away.

Does anybody know of a 4x4 shop that can do the whole thing to include the alignment, the RIGHT WAY, no crap jobs. I'm looking for a shop in Arkansas or east Texas.

I wonder if I can do the perch mod myself, I have access to spring compressors, if I pull the front shocks off , do the perch, but if I take the truck into the Ford dealer for the alignment would they be capable of doing that correct?

I want the job done right, I feel as though I could do the shocks but need a great alignment.

Has anyone allowed a Ford dealer to do the alignment?

Do a YouTube search for the rpg perch method. It's the 9 minute video. You can do the perch setting on the truck. You really have to compress the spring a lot to go top, but it's doable.

Regarding alignments. Getting one is not that easy. Even the dealer has trouble with them. Call and ask if they have performed one on a Raptor or not. Some shops don't have the capability. Must have good luck with Firestone. But even they have screwed it up or have nicked wheels.

Be sure to do you research regarding top perch. Many members later change it to mid due to binding 4 wheel drive components.

I just had the local dealership do mine at mid perch. They called me in the middle of the job wanting me pay for a camber/castor kit for $800 more on top of the lift and alignment. Everything I have read so far, no one has mentioned this kit. I told them put on mid perch and align it. They did and a day later it seems all good. Anyone heard of this "kit" for alignment?

I can't belive that I'm considering going to the top perch....but I am. I 've been on the middle perch pretty much since I've had the truck (2 1/2 years) and the front seems to have settled to the stance near where it was originally was....perhaps the springs have settled? In any event, I'm now considering cranking it up to top perch as it seems that would make the truck sit level.

However, I am concerned about front end component wear....ball joints, tie rods, and driveshaft pinion angles causing wear.

Any of the guys who've had it at the top perch for a few years care to comment?
