I know a Wrangler may have felt more at home here than a Raptor, but she handled it nicely. Superb grip and just enough ground clearance. I messed up on the way down and accidentally left it in neutral the entire time. You can hear the engine rev freely when I get to the very bottom when I’m turning back around to get up the hill.

Yeah, I was white knuckling it the whole time, but it ended up being easier than I anticipated. When I first approached the descent, I nearly backed out of the attempt. If it wasn't for the fact I knew there was a bypass, I probably wouldn't have done it. Most of the clanging you hear is either rocks being kicked up by the tires or the rear suspension flexing. My skids went largely unscathed. Only miner brushes with anything. I was in rock crawl mode on the way up, so 4L with the diff locked. I almost convinced myself to try it a 2nd time without the diff-lock but decided not to press my luck.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Out of curiosity, being a newb myself, why'd you keep it in neutral? Years ago, I almost learned the hard way, simply relying on the brakes to slow me down. I would have figured letting the drive train in 4wd low and the brakes would have assisted you.

Drive mode would have probably worked well going up and down.
