kids with plastidip rattle cans have ruined the rep for the stuff. if its done well it looks as good as matte vinyl. plus allot more color options too

That Plasti Dip looks great! I tried it on some wheels and it worked good. Did my flares and they just stripped off. But that color and your ability to lay it on smooth looks nice. Well done.....

Plasti dip is a spray on rubber paint that can be easily peeled off, with no damage to the paint.

Speaking of wrap, would it be possible to just wrap the flares so I don't have to take them off and go through that hassle?

I'd take them off. If you want to leave them on spay them with plastidip

I just thought about adding my 2 cents and it seems as though it will get flamed but I plastidiped my screw and I'm happy with it. I did it myself for $700ish and the next time I do it it will be around $200-500 depending on if I use a pearl coat or not.
I've had it on the truck for about 4 months and I'll be doing a different color in a couple months. I'm not against wraps but I could dip my truck 4-5 times for the cost of 1 wrap job.

Here's a few pics from right after it was done. There's some over spray that hadn't been cleaned up yet but I think you get the idea of what it looks like.
Then a couple more recent pics.

My only thing with this is the price comparison. Your diy is compared to a professionally installed wrap. If I had ordered exactly enough vinyl then our prices would be comparable. Don't get me wrong, it looks great in the pictures and you probably had it done in a 1/16 of the time it took me.

I seriously contemplated dipping instead but I know that plastidip does not hold up as well as vinyl. It will also stains really bad. Since the prices for materials were about the same I went with vinyl because I knew what type of environment she would be subjected to.

No. Lol. Hence the 1/16th of the time comment. Lol. I'd say it took me about 35-40 hours total. That includes prep and what not.
