Personal opinion, pros and cons like every thing in life. If you don't like it, don't see the value or simply could not afford it, it is what it is. I ordered the blue interior as I like it with my exterior color (performance blue) as well it comes with the carbon fibre trim. I have seen Gen 1's with color combo interiors and people seem to like them better. I am not a "look at me guy" and tend to avoid bright colors, this seemed like a nice balance.
I watched the video, welcome to you tube, anyone can be expert. He's dead wrong with his statement that it all comes from the same factory in China and its all the same quality. A simple google would have educated him. As well Alcantara was developed as a better wearing alternative to suede. That said I agree its a bad fit for steering wheels and shifter knobs, thats a known fact..
I have Alcantara in my Hellcat, zero issues to date. Should note, its not on the steering wheel or the shifter knob. I went with straight black as the red and black color combo was way to flashy for me.
As a previous poster stated, probably not a good pick for a work truck, go for the cheapest most durable fabric in that case.
