Shocking how many dealers are stocked with 19s without recaros I do not get it.
Take a stupid hood sticker off and throw recaros in . I have seen only 1 dealer stock with recaros and ive looked quite a bit online locally

Not really shocking to me. I know i'm not alone in thinking the blue doesn't look good and have concerns about how the Alcantara will wear and for those of us in this boat, paying an extra few thousand for something that looks worse (to us) with wear concerns isn't really something we want to do.

You are not alone... the Blue color already has a "dingy" hue to it, and over time it can only become more so. In addition, they aren't really a sport seat as you would expect from Recaro. Ford could have easily designed the regular seats with that little bit of extra side bolstering. I understand the desire to have something different, but they should have offered more color options. They Blue seats really only go with Black, White, Grey, and Silver.

Nice review of alcantara and how he doesn’t recommend it all. This is in a lovely Porsche.

Nick must be grubby. I have alcantara all over my porsche turbo and it still looks brand new after 45k miles. My alcantara steering wheel and shifter look perfect with no wear through and no grime. Same with my GT350, the seats and steering wheel still look perfect after 11k miles. I have zero concerns about the longevity of Raptor alcantara. As long as it’s not your work truck you’ll be fine.

It’s only available with those colors. Not available on red.

I have it in lots of my current cars, and have had it in many others...I’ve NEVER had any issues. It wears better than leather IMO. I do know people who have had pilling issues on steering wheels of the exact same car as me at the same time and same miles, but I’ve never had an issue..

Personal opinion, pros and cons like every thing in life. If you don't like it, don't see the value or simply could not afford it, it is what it is. I ordered the blue interior as I like it with my exterior color (performance blue) as well it comes with the carbon fibre trim. I have seen Gen 1's with color combo interiors and people seem to like them better. I am not a "look at me guy" and tend to avoid bright colors, this seemed like a nice balance.

I watched the video, welcome to you tube, anyone can be expert. He's dead wrong with his statement that it all comes from the same factory in China and its all the same quality. A simple google would have educated him. As well Alcantara was developed as a better wearing alternative to suede. That said I agree its a bad fit for steering wheels and shifter knobs, thats a known fact..

I have Alcantara in my Hellcat, zero issues to date. Should note, its not on the steering wheel or the shifter knob. I went with straight black as the red and black color combo was way to flashy for me.

As a previous poster stated, probably not a good pick for a work truck, go for the cheapest most durable fabric in that case.

Grubby hands fail every time. My pet peeve is seeing leather steering wheels that are shiny and polished from grubby hands.
