tires oxygen verses nitrogen

quite informational and I agree just not worth it...

I check my tires all the time and didn't think you where even supposed to put air in a nitrogen filled tire so I did learn some thing still don't know what the white chalky stuff is that strips the threads on the valve stems.

what's up with all the lines is that so you can air up all 4 tires as once

They do all 4 at the same time, the machine does I should say.

I don't think completely useless ... At least not to those of us who've invested a tidy sum in high-end aftermarket rubber.

I use it..... just stays the right pressure for longer periods of time, in changing weather conditions.

Its not $2-300 bucks to do (like some dealers add to it at MB), a lot of places do it for $20-30 bucks. Its not about the extra 23%, its just a convenience thing for me.

If light weight, performance, speed, 0-60 is the thing, you bought the wrong truck (or any truck).

There's more than one benchmark for performance. 0-60 isn't everything. I bought mine for offroad performance and general effectiveness in non-optimal terrain and road conditions. Anytime someone acts like a **** and/or passes me, I just visualize their vehicle falling apart as the pavement ends.

I own a 2011 MKT as well as the raptor. This winter every few weeks to a month I'd have one tire randomly drop enough pressure to trigger the tire monitor warning.

The only thing I did was Nitrogen and for 6 months now it hasn't happened once.

Witchcraft of Nitrogen? I dunno, but it works.

Nitrogen is used because:
there is almost no oxygen in the nitrogen fill up. -oxygen will cause oxidation to your wheel, and the water content in typical air allows for volume fluctuations with temperature due to the water vapour in the standard air.

The difference between nitrogen and standard air when filling your tires is not significantly noticeable.

in side drivers door frame I've learned is what your supposed to run no matter what tire you have on
