R's are not investments--even at MSRP

Man you have a lot of time on your hands to call 300 dealers..so what about the other 6 why didn't you jump on one them?

For the dentist, fill a few more cavities, quit being cheap, get the R call it a day (if price is your main concern always something cheaper out there)--plenty of deals if you are a good negotiator, simple as that. If you expect people to hand you a list of MSRP dealers with R's sitting on the lot it ain't going to happen (as evident of 5 pages of this thread).
From an investment standpoint, everything is. I want to maximize the value of my $ and the R will likely hold its value better than other vehicles.

I spend about 15 minutes a day. So this has accumulated over awhile. The other 6 I had missed by much longer, I was just mentioning that because some people do just get lucky on the timing.

Well I’ve been calling around for the past few days.. plenty of R’s available, but dealers are mostly still delusional with their ADM expectations.

If anyone knows of a dealer that is willing to negotiate I would be willing to buy 2 trucks at once.. a platinum 150 and the R.

Those are $20k and $40k over.

I think reality is there's still a lot of demand. Had a car friend message me asking about whether I knew of any black (or possibly green) R's available at a fair price. I think there are more people in that camp, looking for an R at a fair ADM, than there are trucks. Therefore, demand > supply still.

Gotta pay to play...clearly not drug testing at this dealership. But most in TX are 10-30K over--that's what smiling and dialing will get you. Relationship and previous history MSRP can be had.

I found a new (1k mile) TRX Final edition for $99,800 and couldn’t pass it up. I preferred to stay with Ford but …I think the trx might be a better fit for me.
Thank you all for your tips and advice! Maybe if I decide to stick with 1/2 ton, then I will re-eval the market in the Spring.

That's a solid deal on one. Congrats!
