Hey everyone!

I’m exploring the idea of creating a valved exhaust system for the Gen 1 with the 6.2. This system would replace the stock muffler and resonator, with the exhaust exiting in the highlighted area. You’d have the option to choose between single or dual tips. The valve would be electronically controlled and could even be synced with the garage door buttons on the visor for convenience.

I’d love to hear your thoughts! Do you think there’s a market for this? Let me know if this is something you’d be interested in!unnamed (1).jpg

I'd be interested! I've been thinking about trying to build something custom like this for a while. Is there a chance the valve controller could be put on a timer or programmed in a way that on first startup the valves are open, and then close after 10 seconds or so automatically, but also have full manual control too?

I imagine this would be feasible since the valve is electronically actuated. However, it wasn’t a feature I had initially planned to incorporate. Some higher-end cars with factory valved systems do offer similar functionality, but those systems are typically integrated with the ECU.
