Tinting driver/passenger front windows?

I suspect many people have done the tint....how dark did you go? I'm looking for an approx to what the factory would do....

Note: prefer not to be stopped by the friendly neighbourhood police as well...

I am pretty sure there are a few threads covering this. Sometimes the search does not work well so I will use google and limit the search by "site:fordraptorforum.com".

Check out the state laws if you don't want to be bothered by the LEOs.

I know I talked to someone on here and they said at 20% it's only a tad darker than the back.

20% on front sides and 20% over factory tint on the rear glass. It still looks too light from the sides in direct sun. Looks great from the back. I think police in PA have given up on the tint law. Every other car here has tint and none of its legal.

Whether it matches perfectly front to back will depend on the brand of material. From what I've been told 20% tint ranges from about 17% to 22%

As others have said, 20% is a good match to the factory rear glass. As far as tint recommendations, I have 15% all the way around on mine and I'm very pleased with it. I also went with Pinnacle F1 ceramic tint for the superior heat rejection as well.

I went ceramic 4% front and rear passenger windows, 16% back and 35% windshield...

I have 18% on the front driver/passenger windows. I didn't do anything to the back ones. Matches the factory back pretty good.
