I am in South Africa and have no support from Ford SA. My Raptor is nearing 100000km and I must replace the timing chain. Can someone tell me whether my truck needs one or two timing chains? Sorry if its a stupid question

Why do you need to replace the timing chain? you should have absolutly no problems at all with 100,000 kms.

Yes, it need 2 timing chains, its a big job to tackle, you have to remove the front cover.

I haven't seen anybody replace the timing chains yet on this forum.
There are quite a few that are well over 100,000 miles = 160934.4 km.

Why are you saying you need to replace the chains?
Are you getting error codes with a OBD11 scanner?

I can say, Cam Phaser Sensors have been replaced on a hand full of Raptor owners.

Im a ford sr master tech and ive never seen any problems like that with the 6.2L.

I do all of the f250 & f350 6.2L that come in as well and nothing of that sort.

the worst ive ever seen on any 6.2L motor is no oil pressure, damaged heads due to scoring and low compression on #3 but thats it

Start by searching here, there is a lot to search on the subject.
Hope you'll get her fixed.

P0023 B Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 2)

At least try to go over all the electrical connections.
Disconnect battery and pull the plugs out one at a time at the PCM.
Look for corrosion, loose pins.

Load test the battery making sure the battery is minimum above 12.3 to 12.5 volts
