Thread revival - I take it for all the Gen 1 6.2’s there’s no need to change the chain unless it’s showing signs of wear?

I saw a comment made about this on the Gen 1 Facebook group and I was thinking it was bogus. The whole point of going to chains was to get away from that.

Mine is 2014 Stage 2 Roush with 167k km on it. Oil done every 10k.

The chains do wear, which makles them longer. There are tensioners to take up the extra length as the chain wears.

One of the reasons to keep clean oil in an engine is to reduce the wear on chains.
