called Timbren and they are sending me some 4.5 in stops. when I called the guy on the phone made it seem like they were having discussions about the size of the stops that come with the kit. they sent em the 4.5 inch stops for free, and they knew exactly what I was talking about.

Been following this thread. Just for clarity, are drivers here using this solution in lieu of a WD hitch or in addition to?

Iam using them only on my boat as its got surge brakes, but when I tow my 7700 pound travel trailer, I'll be using a weight distribution hitch, basically the Timbrens will act like a stiffer set of rear springs, flagman

Received the 4.5-inch stops and make a huge difference. I do not feel the stops when just driving down the road but the truck does not squat way down when I hook up the 7000 lbs trailer.

this is a temporary solution until I can get a SVC or RPG solution

although this does work.

My local shop said using a bump stop kit as towing solution was a really bad idea... I'm looking for something as well and was planning on the SVC kit until I heard that.

Im curious, do you have a side shot of the truck loaded up. How much does the truck squat with them cut? does it just sit level now with that load?

I’m getting another load soon I will take a pic and measure the squat. I didnt feel like it was very unbalanced.

Having new leaf springs installed on Thursday and I pulled the Timbrens this morning and will be selling them if anyone is interested. They're like brand new and only used a few months. They take 5 mins to install or remove and definitely solve the squatting issues from too much trailer tongue weight. I'll sell them for $150 shipped. Feel free to text me with any questions at 508 243 1232.
