Do you know of anyone near you where you could swap lights yourself to see if it is the light or not? Does the dealer have any Raptors on their lot that they can swap parts from?

Yes and No

I got an idea so should know tonight. @MMMoodster is stopping by tonight on his way back from Snoball with his 2014.....

Good deal. Back in my dealer days as the Service Manager, I did everything in my power to get customers in and out as quick as possible: swap parts from a new car on the lot and tell the sales guys to wait the 3-5 days while the part has to come in from Germany, etc. It's all about customer service.

About ready to just buy this myself, figure I could tint one dark and keep the other for my stock collection of parts.

Well forgot that I had a 3rd brake light from Raptor Retrofit for a buddy so tested it with that. I will go show this video to the dealer tomorrow and I bet they will still want to waste my time and make me wait while they do their own diagnostics and then finally order it, wait again then finally schedule the visit to get it installed.

I just had my 3rd brake light repaired, had to go to Ford 3 days in a row to get it done. Today they damaged a wheel by driving into a hoist and are denying it. Go to Hell Planet Ford!

I went through this same process to have the third brake light replaced on my Raptor. I went by the dealership and they were to busy to get me in that day so I scheduled an appointment and asked if they would go ahead and order the part to save time. The service writer informed me that they would have to diagnose the problem before they could order the part. Go in for scheduled appointment only to be informed that the appointment was for dropping off my truck and not to start working on it. Two or so hours later I was informed that they could not figure out how to restore the RaptorSVT logo for sync and they would have to order the third brake light, what a waste of time. When I went in for the next appointment to actually get the light replaced I was in and out in fifteen minutes. I guess bitching about an appointment not being an appointment on the prior visit and fixing the sync splash screen myself got their attention. When I did the online survey I gave a fair and accurate account of what I thought of the service visit. Will it help? I hope so.
