I liked the 5* economy shifting a lot. It got me to 6th gear quick while coasting. But the performance tune shifting I found to be a bit aggressive. It was fun for a little while. That's an advantage to the 5* tunes - more flexibility in shifting strategies. But with that comes a risk. I'm sure it nothing too crazy since tons of people have been using it for a while now. But being able to get the strategy you want is a plus I think.

^^^ Shifting was good . . So how was the performance of the 5* 93 Economy?
was the infamous 'flat spot' eliminated?

My 2 cents.

You want long term feedback...

I've had my 5 star tune in Big Blue for 3 years now. I have run the 93 performance tune since day 1. I did not like the original shift points, so I simply called Mike, told him I wanted shifts in the higher RPM range and he programmed it and emailed me a new file...Perfecto!

Never a code or issue and as you can see by my sig below..I've done my share of driving hard in every condition there is!

Don't know about the flat spot. The economy 93 tune was fine. I liked the exhaust note a lot.

I wanted a slight change to when 6th gear was engaged while coasting on my 5* tune, and Mike was able to make it. I asked for a similar change on my SVC tune, and they couldn't do it. Not that they didn't want to - they've been most responsive. But they told me making that change would require the whole shift strategy to be changed to stock. So I just dropped it.

I saw 5 star was having a sale and curiosity got the best of me so I ordered a few 5 star emailed tunes.

So far only tried the 93 Eco, shifts slightly harder than SVC and in 50miles or so my MPG is the exact same as with the SVC tune. And yea, I said Eco......

How many tunes do you get from SVC for $250? Already have SCT tuner, just need the tunes.

I have various 5STAR tunes, but not happy with the shifting, Mike says don't mess with it, so I won't, switching instead.

There's only one to be had. SVC doesn't have different "flavors". Just the one.
