Now I'm worried about my tall roof mount if it slaps forward, I'm going to bust out my sunroof.

Don't be too concerned, but it is something you should check. Flex your antenna to see where it lands.

As you can see, I have a number of roof dings from to my antenna. Luckily, it doesn't reach the sunroof.

Keith and I bent this one forward and it would land smack dab in the middle of the sunroof. I have the short one that I'd use for convoy/heavy wooded areas, and the large one for desert/TRR/etc.

Added this stubby yesterday! Love the look and how clean it makes the hood area.

The stubby was one of my first mods too after I drove into a parking garage and got nervous about how much the OEM antenna flexed after smacking off the roof beams. Better safe than sorry I suppose

Not only does it look way better, if you offroad it's also a smarter choice.

I personally know of 2 Raptors that lost a front windshield due to the OEM antenna whipping back after a branch strike and cracking the windshield.

I am one of those '2Raptors'...

This was one of my first mods as well. I love the look and I think it's well worth the approximately 10 miles or so I've lost in reception. I use satellite radio almost exclusively anyways.
