Thanks Noah. I know enough to dabble so I wanted a professional's opinion on their diagnosis.

Regardless of all these small things, I keep going back to the fact that these issues were not occurring before. I installed the onboard air and almost a week later 9 codes start popping off and I don't think it's a coincidence the wiring harness was laying on the header.

Update 25JUN14 1615: Insurance appraiser just called and said that he approved the current repairs. They are replacing the PCM and wiring harness. He said that it looked like it was in mud again as that is a new engine and you could see where mud was all over it. You guys know what I did on that trip but they will believe what they want to believe. He said he could technically put it on a new claim but he was going to include it on this one. My problem would have been, how is this related to what you are replacing. I also believe the dealer got lucky because that harness which is probably melted is now being replaced by insurance due to "water intrusion." Now the question is, will it be complete before I leave VA.

@Chris@FreedomMotorsports Will this mean my tunes are no longer usable due to the replacement of the PCM?

I would not use your tuner until well after all the bugs are worked out. Then maybe Chris/Mike can help you out with new tunes. I have 2 tunes in my tuner from the previous owner and I'm not ******** around with them. Just my 2 cents.

Lol. ... you left before the rain started. We only saw some small puddles on the forest / park roads up till the rain.

I hope it gets done, but also I'd be worried about an issue popping up while in transit to Indiana.

I personally wouldn't tune it for at least 30 days of driving or so after you get it back just to make sure that all the bugs are indeed worked out. That being said, if they wanted to see mud, they should have seen MY engine bay...lol As for the new PCM and tuning it, yes, most likely you will need your tunes changed to account for the new ECM or else they probably won't work.

There is no way, you went around the few puddles we found. Want me call them and set them straight?

I didn't plan on it but I was curious on if those were going to be lost. I won't be able to buy new tunes for a while. Lol.

This is also a concern. They could replace the PCM and it may take a little while for codes to start showing. If that harness was melted and they're replacing it then hopefully that will resolve the problems. When I got it back last time it ran fine until day two and we noticed the wiring harness.

Lol. I'm sure I had mud splatter but nothing that should've caused these issues.

They said there was mud in the MAF sensor and down the intake tube. I call ********. Dust maybe from them not putting the hose clamp back on that rubber tube off of the intake tube that fell off but not mud.

I honestly believe they are going to try and point out anything they can like "mud" in the MAF in an attempt to blame "user error". They are getting their butts kicked with this repair and will want to try to make some back somewhere.

It was user air the first time, but you get one ******* (bad luck) move the second time insurance dose not have to cover. Your suppose to learn from it. This is why they where trying to have you say I went into another puddle.

Update 27JUN14 1420: Stopped by the dealer for an update on how long they expected it to take. They said the harness and computer came in last night which means they had to of overnighted it. They are wrapping the harness up and then installing the computer to test it. Either I'm wrong and this will fix the issues or they are wrong and that harness is melted. They're replacing the interior harness, not the one that was lying on the header. If all goes well, they planned on having it ready by Monday afternoon but I will be gone by then. He said they will try and get someone to come in tomorrow to wrap it up and have it ready by tomorrow afternoon.
