Out having some fun in the big dunes today… big like we’d hit on the bikes. :rockit:

The fast flowing stuff and big horsepower climbs are where this thing excels. Only one refusal, brute power picking out one of the tricky crestings wasn’t the answer, especially as the fourth vehicle. Just spun in the ruts. Backed out in 4Low and picked a different line to the left. Only nearly got beached crest surfing once… felt it surfing on the skid plates then heard it revving up, turned down quickly whilst I could.

With nigh on 600hp and ftlbs it takes some of the thinking out of it… but man it’s fun and what a crutch to have. 250hp in the SWB Pajero would’ve been a terrifying experience in laser focus. Arguably more rewarding but listening to the supercharged V8 is a price worth paying.

I have found that driving up really big dunes is best done in manual mode, locked in at 1st or 2nd gear. At least that's how it works on a Gen 1, but.....we don't have Baja Mode. Have to do that manually.

Aye, same… mostly just slotting between 1st/2nd on the auto box shifter. Off-road on, advanced track off, locked in first or second. Manual and the buttons on longer open stretches.

Just don’t forget to put it in 4High or turn off advanced track…. get further in 2WD with the electronics off. :)

Sunsets this time of year are ....well, "oh wow!" class. Asked the wife if she wanted to go see the sunset from the top. Yes was the answer so we went and found one.

In this next shot. About 50 feet off the pilar is a 2000' cliff. ...makes your ******** hide when you get close to the edge!
