Hey fellas. I'm mac, I am in Afghanistan and when I am out of here I am going to leave (PCS) Germany and head to Washington state. Once I get back to the States I am going to buy my first truck...The Raptor. I'm hoping to learn a lot here about the inner working of owning a raptor. Take care.

Looking to get the supercrew (for the lady and future chitlins), 6.2, tuxedo black and some after market stuff like line-x and a winch. Do you guys have any advice on an underbody spray to protect from the elements? Like Zeibart etc. The Pacific NW is going to be my stompin' grounds and I'm stoked for some adventure.

Ziebart's undercoating is great. It reduces road noise too. I will probably end up doing it somewhere down the road. My friend did it to his Chevy and the truck seemed a lot more quiet and solid on the highway and over bumps. The dealership will probably offer you "their" under body coating but from what I remember the Ziebart is almost half the price.

Go with Line-X over Rhino
Ziebart is great for the under body coating
...and don't let the dealership charge you $500 for the Simoniz treatment....Ziebart's Diamond Gloss treatment is far better and cheaper.

Thanks Mac for serving our country. I friend of my just got back from Iraq. He fell in love with the truck and said it needs a 50 Cal on the back along with a few Special Forces in the back. LOL
