As much as I am excited to see the new Raptor, I cant help but feel I'm gonna be disappointed in the powertrain and some other things. I dont want an ecoboost anything. I have a feeling that Ford will not go all out with this Raptor. Remember, Ford had no clue the current Raptor was gonna be as popular as it has been. I feel they're gonna skimp out an a lot and make it more show then go. That'll keep their profit margins higher and they'll sell more.

Chris Ross has been the head of the new Raptor project...according to my sources

His truck is going to be the teaser!

Seriously though he did mention on another forum that after SEMA the truck was going to Ford for some testing. What that means I have no idea but I thought it a little odd.

More so than the Raptor unveil, part of me is hoping for a new Ford GT and a price point comparable to the new viper.

Hell these underpriced statements kill me. Think the price was perfect for mine. Besides the only thing that's very Raptor left is the grill and computerized nannies. Price jumps then a lot of us would be better off modding a base F150 if we add to the collection. Haha and that was previously against my morals.

Yeah I think 50k range new is fair. I mean in 2010 with the 6.2 was about what 41-43k new with some options, I bet Ford thinks that was underpriced now looking back it. I think they will go up some here for the 2016, especially for crew cab, but we'll have to see if the extra price is worth what you get.

Now one thing is that, I wouldn't doubt Ford with this. They've done nothing recently besides support the true car enthusiasts. Look at the GT350 with the FPC V8, the Focus RS, Having the balls to move the Mustang into the "ricer" market with the 4 banger ecoboost. I mean they're covering the bases here in the small enthusiast market and tomorrow they'll be showing that off. They won't disappoint with the new Raptor thats for sure.
