Does it look badass? Hell yeah. My only issue is the fact that it's in plain site. Unless you have 5% tint, you could see this through the window. You'd have to literally move it in and out of this holster every time you got out of the vehicle. And if you didn't, all it takes is one thief to do a smash and grab and now you're gun is on the streets int eh hands of a criminal. If you're cool with constantly moving it from the holster that's fine. But I would have mounted it on the inside of the glovebox. My 2 cents.

Yes every time I exit vehicle the weapon goes back to my M-tac holster on my person.

I have a lock box that mounts under seat when I have to store weapon if say going into a bank etc. Will take pics latter today.

That's an interesting mount. Good work though I'm nervous about cutting/drilling on my new truck.

I will be researching having a hidden, lockable compartment built into my vehicle to store my weapon when I need to leave it in the ride. It will need to be quick access and retain the stock appearance so it'll be a process to design and build it.

I have time so I'll make use of it. Any info any of you have would be helpful.

Could prob make it MOLLE Compatible Bags and Pouches ?

I like the concept and execution provided it's not a problem in your state. I agree that in most cases, those of us with concealed handgun licenses/permits would likely get a pass. That said, I think it would be here in Texas as the position of the gun looks like it would be plainly visible to an officer approaching you from the passenger side of the vehicle during a traffic stop. With that in mind, I'd likely move that mount a tad lower so the rear of the gun isn't sticking above the console as seen from the passenger side of the vehicle.

I've been thinking of a mount using rare earth magnets to secure a handgun (sans holster) under the steering column, near the knee bolster area. That way the gun isn't visible to ordinary observation but, remains readily accessible. I've found the magnets that do the job, I just haven't had time to test fit/position. I've seen the concept executed in quite well in a vehicle that was impounded by a friend's agency. Luckily for the officer that found it, the guy he stopped was very cooperative. It was noted that the gun could not be seen from the normal defensive positions officers are trained to use for traffic stops. All that said, for the time being, my gun remains in it's holster on my body because I can typically drive away from or over an attacker faster than I can shoot him.
