Yep, I have the same chinese amazon lights, 30 and 40. Was just curious to see an exact comparison. Basically its distance I'm looking for.

That shootout doesn't have chinese lights. And I'd like to see a real world pic, instead of data numbers.

Thanks for the replies.

Shootout does have Chinese. What do you think TMX Blackhawks and M&R are? Yep.....

I have a Rigid 20 in flood configuration and a M&R in spot configuration. The Rigid is brighter and it is a whiter light.

What size and type of lights are you referring to? I have inexpensive non name brand light bars (20" & 40") that I purchased on Amazon and they're great. I was up in the mountains of NC in late October and they lit up the road great when driving at night.
Are you from NC? Do you make it out this way often? Check out the regional section for the Carolina's monthly meet up.

Give us a Shootout next time around. We would be more than happy to throw in some Light for review.

That sounds great. I am planning for the next one to be at TRR 2015,

I am going to try and get light pattern pics next time, but I will have to see if I can make it work. However, a person's evaluation of a picture is subjective, a measurement is not.

Photoshop can add 30,000 Lumens at the click of a button... I find it amusing lol

Pictures are very subjective... You are correct.

I take my family go up there every October and stay up in the mountains. We usually go to Maggie Valley but this year we stayed in a cabin on Lake Chatuge in Hayesville.

The thing I'm most interested in seeing, is how 3w, 5w, and 10w lights compare to eachother given similar configurations, optics/reflectors, and total power.

If this could somehow be arranged at the next testing kaiser, you'd be my hero. A few vendors have multiple lines, and I'm super curious how say a shorter bar with 10W leds(with less of them) compares to say a larger one with 3W/5W LEDs with more-if the total power is similar between them.

Awesome, thanks!

True on the data numbers, which I would want to see when comparing high end lights. Or lights that are more then 200 bucks.
