Just an FYI mine is still running great! Couple things I have noticed - one, sometimes the sync 3 app on the unit needs to be quit and reopened. Not a big deal but noteworthy. The most annoying thing is that a lot of times when you get back in the truck the audio source will change to something random.

Overall though, it is the most versatile unit out there IMO.

I've been running into connection issues with Apple CarPlay after (I believe) updating my phone to IOS 17. The only time it does work is when I hard reset the unit. After a vehicle power cycle, the unit fails to connect again even though bluetooth shows it's connected on both ends. Has anyone else ran into this or have a fix?

Nope. I’ve even tried to update the software on the CarPlay interface App and unit but both are up to date.

Are you able to install the last version bt update to your phone? Idk if that's possible w iPhone.

I've read through both this post and the one on the F150 forum. I saw very little about the splash screen other than you can turn it on and off.....

Is it the same Sync 3 splash screen (says RAPTOR and Ford Performance on a dark background)? Or, do you have to load your own?

I'm also curious about adding a live wallpaper file to the splash screen. This would animate it like the OEM boot screen. Anyone done this yet? It may need root access, which isn't possible I guess....

I didn't see it in the thread, cant find it anywhere, but has anyone tried this screen in an 801A truck? Interested in knowing if this device will control the climate system and access the heated steering wheel.
