If they gave a rats a$$ about protecting their customer, they wouldn't just threaten, they'd actually do it.

In the case I was referring to, the threat worked, as the dealer immediately dropped the ADM.

Show the customer base they give a single ****. Regardless of what excuse the dealer may have for incorrect MSRP, do you believe for one second that they made a mistake or have a "restriction"? I don't. If someone walked through the door willing to pay full $110K or whatever, they would take the money and run. Yes I understand capitalism, and it's a sellers market, but long time Ford customers remember this practice that may not be endorsed, but a blind eye is certainly turned towards it at larger dealers in most cases. I can afford a Gen 3 , but won't pay ADM, and won't work with dealers that are, as that's my prerogative, just as someone will likely pay $25K+ ADM and are free to do so. That's the real conundrum, money means nothing to some people, and they ruin the market for the rest of us.

I wasn't saying the dealership was morally right for posting an incorrect MSRP, just they could possibly get away with it legally. And I mostly agree with you regarding ADM for me personally. I've never paid it before. Honestly, I've never even paid MSRP. I won't say never though. If I win the lottery or something, that could easily change.

What a deal!

I will never forget when I was shopping for Gen 2s in CA back in 2018... A sales guy told me "look man these typically go for 30 over... I am willing to do it for 15 so I am actually SAVING you money"

Hopped in my truck and did a burnout leaving the parking lot...
