+2 on the jimmy jammer product, it's an upgrade over the masterlock.

My masterlock completely fell apart after 18 mos, plus it rattles around (wears paint, letting in corrosion if your in a humid/ocean env, etc.) so save your scratch and go for the real deal.

No offense to all you masterlock fans, until it fell apart, I loved it. I also broke the key off in the lock because the internals froze up, and I'm no hammer fist. I literally pulled out a screw driver and finished the job, then straight to the circular file. If it hadn't partially fallen apart I'd have been screwed.

Maybe it was a bad unit,

Jimmijammer.com does not sell them so I ordered from a dealer listed on their site. I ordered from trucksecurity.com and another order from aztrucks.com.

Its called the gatekeeper. I also recommend their hood latch guard (esp if you have lighting behind the grille) and even their Jimmijammer door guards. I have them on all 4 doors, so they have to break glass to get in.

I have the masterlock but I taped it with black duct tape to keep it from rattling and wearing the paint. I figured that if i needed to take the tailgate off i would just peel the tape off to insert the key. At this point in time I have no reason to take the tailgate off so its been okay for now. But I could see if i did not tape it that it could get corrosion and be a potential problem.
