That video is a joke and anyone that believes that little kicker had anything to do with the frame bending has no business in the dezert. The truck didn't buck at all it was a smooth landing, no kick, nothing. I honestly can't believe that people are claiming that was the culprit of this cluster phuc of bad press, I've seen a near stock Frontier hit that thing at 70 and never even phase it.
Have you ever been to a Score, BITD, Snore, MORE, or MDR race? I can tell you that your so far off on your assessment of race course's that its really not funny. What your talking about is no more than a fire road(aka as a freeway) that is graded road that is used to get to race course's.

Bro I really don't know what your deal is but when anyone else comes on here and talks about desert racing or prerunning you get your ******* in a ***, your really going to tell me that the Raptor in the video didn't "buck" hard at 1:38? You can clearly see the rear of the truck hit hard......you of all people should know that a video usually doesn't give the real experience justice.....maybe Ford should take a couple notes from Nissan, as apparently a simple "fire road" kicked the asses of 14 Raptors.

Oh to answer your question yes I have been to several SCORE and BITD races and I know exactly what I'm talking about, not really into **** measuring contests but if you want to go there we can........chill out man, your acting like I said I pressed the T/H button and was able to beat a 03 Cobra from 0 to 60. I was just trying paint a picture for members that don't understand, sorry if it was bit over the top, I just trying to make a point

I never made it to 1:38, I only made it to 1:17 where it say's Here it comes!!!! on the screen.
I was under the impression that this was what people claiming that was the culprit cause I've read several times it was a cattle grading. And yes 1:38 is much worse than 1:17.

You must jump in Trophy Trucks at all the race's you've been to

A.I.I. does seem to have some REALLY good knowledge of racing and the whole desert scene. We all just need to have a beer and relax, We all help each other learn. Hell get together at some desert races and REALLY see what it's all about !
Yes cattle grate was not it, a 12" to 18" wash where it was pretty flat then like a 12'' - 18'' speed bump from nowhere is the damaging obsticle here.

I've stayed pretty quiet in this whole thing, and I agree that you can break any vehicle under stress, such as a million dollar trophy truck as Hemeedi mentioned.

However, the term "a chain is only as strong as its weakest link" comes to mind. The point is, the suspension did not fail or even come close to being maxed out, but the frame did. The fact that the suspension is so capable allowed the driver's to reach the type of speeds that would be capable of damaging the frame in the first place. This would never happen to a Dodge Ram because the Ram would have been rolled over in a ditch in flames long before the frame bent because of hitting and *soaking up* a kicker at 80mph lol.

We can learn a few things, if Ford releases a quick fix for the problem on 2012 trucks, we will know kits such as the ones being offered by SDHQ are any good. If ford doesn't do a damn thing, then we know the fix isn't as simple as a bolt-in part. These guys at Ford and SVT are damn good at what they do and you know their heart and souls go in to the Raptor.

I do believe they should match the capability of the jounce bumper cups with the suspension though. The Ford frame is damn strong, but is it strong enough for the Raptor.

Ford pinto, Chevy truck with gas tank outside frame rails, Ford explorer. Just a few that come to my mind. Safety, crumple zone, are two for the Raptor. Take into account the Raptor is sold to anyone that walks into a dealership, with ANY level of driving experience.
Why do lawnmowers have a sticker on them saying "Do not put hands in blade area while mower is running" (not exact) CUZ some brain dead Dumba$$ did !
