Sunroof getting stuck and making noises

Well looks like the Raptor is going in for warranty work. The sunroof made a weird noise opening and the didn't want to close. I got it closed then tried to tilt it open and it made more weird noises. So I just closed it. I use my sunroof all the time so this sucks. Hoping the can fix it without messing something else up on the truck. I dont trust dealer mechanics normally...

Mine started shuddering and making aweful noises about a month ago, but when I looked in the track I saw I had a bunch of dirt and crap in it. So I just cleaned it out the best I could and sprayed some lube that goes on wet then dries so that it would hopefully not collect as much stuff. It looked like they used grease in it from the factory. It took 3-4 days before it started working right again. Not sure if this is what your problem is just an idea.

if you ever left it open overnight, the moisture can get in and cause problems. on my previous vehicle, i had the moonroof vented during a rainstorm. a few days later it stopped working.

Never left open. I'll check for debris as farman mentioned but would that effect even just the tilt?

that sucks sorry to hear it i got my back window replaced about a month ago and when they did that the messed up my back seat seat belt so i gotta bring my truck back and get that fixed what dealer are you using

The land rover dealership wanted to charge mom over $1000 even with a warranty to fix her sun roof. And then it randomly started working a few days ago. Moral of the story, because **** dealerships haha
