Pano sunroof on my 2018 with 30k miles decided not to open. It tries but hits a hard stop right away.

Does this mean I need a whole new pano, a new track, or will an adjustment work?

I love the big view. Will likely not get one on my next Raptor.

I spend a lot of time on unpaved roads.

I had this happen to me in last few weeks. 56K miles, slightly less than two years and hardly ever opened the roof. Tried to last couple weeks and nothing. Brought in for service, dealer replaced the guides under warranty and I believe the service advisor said there was a TSB on it.

Are the new guides a permanent fix? Or will they just break again?

Will it open if you press on the glass same time you're pressing the button? I had a 12 MKT that did that and they adjusted, greased the track and replaced the guides. It was better after 3 attempts, but still hung up once in a while.

Mine is also DOA with 15k miles. Went to local dealer and they said it would sit there a couple days until their backed up trim Dept. could look at it and then reach out to Ford for warranty with no idea how long it will take. They did fix a front diff oil leak within one day though. No thanks Peoria Ford, I'll find another dealer. BTW - The roof will not open, even if you apply pressure to the frame or glass.

Yeah...it rained that night, but I just tarped it. I told my sales guy I was gonna ride there with a golf umbrella out the top...he encouraged me to do it, but not let Ford see it. Bad press and all. LOL

Peoria Ford isn't too great. Try Sanderson Ford.

I have a 2017 with 30k. My roof got stuck through lack of use. Local ford dealer said to use some furniture polish on the rubber seal. Worked well. Product called 'Pledge' in the UK. Just open roof regularly there after.
