Saw a used 2017 on a lot and when I bounced on a bumper it had the same rear shock noise, but when I test drove it there was no similar clunk noise or a feel in the gas pedal/wheel.This would not explain why people are getting it in the rear shock area but figured I'd throw it out if someone wanted to check.
That’s exactly what I feel on my truck.not only do I hear and feel something under the front of the truck, the suspension feels loose and unstable over bumpy terrain. does not feel solid at all.
Same here. I also have something rubbing from the right front when turning left while accelerating. I’m skipping the “it’s normal” b.s. from the dealer. I ordered a set of chassis ears and am determined to pinpoint this issue. If Ford refuses to fix it I’m selling it. My 2009 Tacoma sounds and feel better than this. That’s exactly what I feel on my truck.
So how do they fix it ?Here you go; front driveshaft going into the transfer case.
I have 37 pp and mine doesn’t do it. Hope that helpsOut of curiosity is anyone having the clunking issue on a 37 package? My truck is a 35 and is clunking, a buddy has a 37 and doesn’t have the issue. I saw another post mentioning their dealer said it was the shocks which makes me wonder if this is unique to the 35in version and the shocks that come on 35s.
