strange gas lid broken

My plastic (painted) cover door wont stay closed. the spring inside broke off.

Just had this happen to me. I can push it closed, but it just opens back up about an inch or so. Like it has nothing pulling it closed. Have y'all found a fix for it?

Happened to me awhile back. I was still under warranty so it got fixed. I think they said the spring broke.

Here we go again. Lift slightly as you are closing the fuel door. It will fit snugly into its secondary latch location - and it will stay closed. Worked for me.

Tried that, maybe I'm not holding my tongue right when i'm doing it.

Ok. Pictures are best!

See the upper groove?

Push fuel lid almost closed

Then lift slightly into that upper groove

Push in gently

Should snugly latch

And no longer come open
