Stock Raptor hitch is very weak

To add to that, if it is the same 3 degrees, I can get the angle at the top of the bed or something to give you another reference.

I'll put a receiver in and check it. But its its quite a bit.

Top of bed is same as bumper center step, within a degree anyway. FYI.

To the OP:
You got me thinking...I only towed once and when I hitched up the back end dropped about 2.25" - 2.50"...at the time it looked like the hitch was slightly heading down hill, but then we connected the Anderson hitch chains...the rear end was now dropped about 1.0" and looked normal...because it looked pretty good after the WD was hooked up didn't think about it much, but you got me thinking and will check it this weekend...

Howdy Ray, small clarification and I'm certain you meant it, what you inserted into the hitch is the 'ball mount". The ball mount slides into the receiver (opening) and in your case pictured is an adjustable ball mount. .

Hate to tell you but the 3-5° downward pitch is considered normal according to some users here. I have never seen a hitch with that much negative angle from any manufacturer including the last 4 F150's I owned but supposedly that is within manufacturing tolerances. All I know is I put a weight distribution hitch on my 18 Supercrew with a 4500 lb loaded trailer behind it and I can barely keep the safety chains from dragging even if I wrap them a half dozen times. Never had an issue with any of my other trucks with the same loaded trailer.

Sounds as though you may have to raise the ball height to compensate. Mine on my 2019 is angled down and it has never even towed. Things like this tend to really bug me even if they are ok functionally.

Pretty sad to consider that normal. I'm not even sure its safe. Definitely not acceptable on a Kia let alone a 76k truck.

if anything it should be angled up a touch. Level out when the trailer is on. These trucks have soft suspension.
