Made an appointment.

Dealer says they have a road force machine.

What tire pressure are you guys running?
If i remember correctly the instructors at raptor assault suggested 34 front 32 rear, maybe a bit less. I have mine at 36/34 currently in anticipation of the weather cooling off here relatively soon

I use Discount Tire, they have balanced on and checked with multiple machines. We even broke down the tire/wheel so we could rotate the tire on the wheel. Their original theory was the tires sat for a year and the oils tend to fall, but rotating the tire on the rim should have showed that and they say that condition would have resolved itself by now. I have my factory wheels and tires I will be putting on to get through this winter. We will see if that resolves the issue. I’ll ask today what machine they use.
i used discount tire twice when i had the issue with my previous vehicle... they couldnt solve it and actually made it worse. A local shop with techs that actually knew what they were doing did fix it

they couldnt properly balance a 33" tire that weighed 60lbs that had roadforce and rollout numbers well within spec. i think the issue w/ discount tire was the fact that inexperienced folks were running the machines and were relying on the smart balance feature to balance (or not balance..) the tires. they were nitto ridge grapplers for those curious

I took the weight out today and mine is back to acceptable. I did find one of my tailgate end clamps for the tonneau cover had fell off. Maybe what I felt was it bouncing around.
Not sure why a few hundred pounds would make it shake. I told the lady I was buying new wheels and tires for 5k to fix it, she said don’t cheap out. Get something nice. Lol

I have turned it on and off a few times. Mine is not bad, just was really bad when a slight load was in the back.

UPDATE:
So dealer performed TSB 22-2224 (PCM update) in which the chief complaint is an engine shudder at tip in and concerns transmission shudder at highway speeds in gear 8-10.

While I did not have any engine shudder, my issue certainly happens most at highway speeds, getting worse around curves in road and even worse in sport mode.

I took a ride with the shop foreman and he explained that the PCM update would also effect the way the electronic steering works, which obviously effect R&P, and so on.

It would seem so far that the PCM update fixed my issue to a point. During the drive, I noted that it vibrates much less around curves and in overall driving. It does however still vibrate somewhat in a straight line, which would lead one to point to tires. They will perform a road force balance at 1K miles (Ford want to see 1K first due to tire flat spotting thanks to Covid having these trucks sit around in storage yards prior to delivery. Mine sat for a good month+)

Hopefully someone else can use this info and I will update after next service appt.

I have straight line vibration, I don't have alignment issue since it still drives straight, it is steering wheel jutter only when I take my hands off the wheel do I notice it. I don't feel it while driving, only see the wheel juttering when I take my hands off. I had stock 35" tires, I never tested this for the 500 miles I had them so I wouldn't know. When I put my aftermarket 35" ridge grapplers on I wanted to make sure they were balanced so I tested taking my hands off the wheel, which is where I noticed it. I brought them to discount tire, which has Hunter Force balancing. My rims had no weights at first when I first saw the vibration, now they have weights but it is no difference in the wheel which makes me feel like it could be more electronic steering related.

I notice the vibration in a straight line only, it is visual and not feeling in the wheels or suspension, I am wondering if this may be it would I need to mention this TSB to my dealer and the visual vibration in the wheel?

i bet theyre still not balanced well. discount tire techs are necessarily good and just go off the "smart balance" suggestions from the machine. i went to two dif discount tires for road force balances and they were horrific. a local shop with experienced techs and a hunter machine solved the issues for me. i had them balance the stock wheels and tires for me after a few thousand miles as i also noticed a slight jitter in the wheel/cabin at highway speeds. problem solved.
