I have no idea why I have waited so long. I tried the red electrical tape, but I didn't like the way it moved around.

If you want to preserve the wheel and the stripe, here’s an alternative. It does take a bit to properly instal and you can’t beat the alcantara feel.

Yes you use the thread it comes with and there was a video link on proper stitching. Easy just time consuming

If your wheel has seen better days, another option is to have the wheel completely re-wrapped new by Craft Customs, with options for adding wood, OEM leather or Alcantara fabric, either original colors, or go unique:



Or, you do what I'm planning on doing and retrofit a brand new Gen 2 Steering Wheel, per this thread on these forums; I will be sourcing the parts individually...
