Steering wheel alignment stripe gone!

Mine was very worn on the front when I bought it from the previous owner, probably from a ring or something I assume. Do you happen to know of a place that might sell smaller quantities to leather to replace it? All my local shops had told me I'd need to order/purchase a full hide to get a color that's even in the ballpark.

If you want the leather pre-dyed, you don't have a choice but to buy what they offer. But if you are willing to dye the leather yourself, Tandy Leather will sell you undyed leather scraps.

Super easy fix! I got some red marine vinyl from Joanns fabrics and a curved needle. I cut off the old red strip and figured out how it was sewed on and copied that. Looks brand new.

Just replaced mine today, marine vinyl. Just cut a strip, glued the edges under, and copied the factory stitching. Looks better than new, didn't take long at all.

I have a few strips of red leather, enough thread, and needles if any one is interested. $25 all in. I can also distress the leather if you want. Gives a pretty cool look.
