GEN 2 Start up rattle

Mine is at the dealer now for this issue. I'm thankful I have a loaner, as it sounds like it's going to be at least a week before I get the Raptor back.

For reference, mine is a 2017 with 25k miles.

Side note: I have a 2019 F150 XLT as a loaner. The interior trim is pretty basic, but the V8 and 10-speed transmission makes for a nice driving experience. It gets up and goes, it sounds great, and even in sport mode it doesn't have the jerky/aggressive shifting of the Raptor.

I'll be taking mine in June. I have a Rental storage unit to clean out and a camping trip coming up and after that I'll take it in. 31K and just got the truck 2 weeks ago. I wish the previous owner just took care of cause now it is my problem. Bought it from a dealer and of course it didn't make the rattle at start up (probably because the truck wasn't cold).

Wife drives our 18 Raptor every morning to bring kids to school.
This morning I was outside when she cranked it and heard a god awful rattle.
She says "oh been meaning to tell you about that" Only does it first crank of the day.
Guess it's time to video it and bring her to the dealer... 2018 with 25k miles

I have a similar noisy sound once in a while on a cold start up on my 2019.
