Yea there's 1 that i had to trim so it will enter and connect properly.. The round one

Well, I feel dumb. When I first started my truck up after install, I had forgotten to plug in the rear o2 sensor. Definitely not a pleasant sound with exhaust hissing out of that port. It obviously threw a code for that. Well I got it fixed up and started it up, no problems but I forgot to clear the code so it was still showing up. Anyways, I cleared the code, and it never came back. I just installed the new tune from 5 star. Haven't pushed the engine yet but I can already tell the new shift points will take a lot of getting used to. But I think I like it better!

Almost done with mine. Headers are on. The dipstick tube was rusted and the metal fatigued while pulling it out. Called ford parts department and hopefully it will be here today so we can get the motor mounted. Fun project. 2 thirty packs in. 2 guys wrenching and 5 guys watching/ heckling. I wished I would have spent the money for thermal coating.

Did you replace the gaskets ? Or use the stock

I utilized stock gaskets in conjunction with the high temp RTV. Nick used this method so I figured I would to. Little RTV on both sides of the gasket, place it up there, slide the headers into place.

like chris said i used the gaskets and RTV. after lots of searching online it and talking to a couple installers it seemed to be the way to go

Gents, I'm getting exhaust leak at the joint before the headers and at a few down stream of the headers. It's small, but I can feel the gas pulsating out.

I believe this is why I was throwing some codes before. I also think that it's affecting how the enjoin is running.

This weekend I'm planning on loosening the joints and try to reposition it to make it tighter. If that doesn't work I may try to wrap the few joints that have the leaks.

Try the rtv in the gold tube at the joints. Someone else recommended this in another thread and I never thought to do it. Great idea if you don't want everything welded together.
